Introduction and Charter

The Electric Vehicle Association of San Diego [EVAoSD], is an affiliate of the Electric Auto Association (EAA), and is a organization of electric car owners, electric car enthusiasts, and ordinary people who would just like to learn a little more about electric vehicles. We meet at SDG&E Inovations Center, 4760 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92117. We now meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month except December. We meet at 7 pm every month except June when we have a show and drive out in front of the Inovations Center at 6 pm. All meetings are open to the public at no cost. The subject of each meeting is published in that months Newsletter before each meeting.

EVAoSD is one of many chapters of the Electric Automobile Association. The next closest chapter to us is the the Electric Vehicle Association of Southern California in Orange County. There are also chapters in North and East Los Angeles. Go to the chapter page of (EAA) to find the chapter closest to you.

Because of tighter government control of non-profit orgainizations, EVAoSD voted to accept EAA's offer to handle our funds for us. For that reason, EVAoSD has closed its bank account and turned our funds over to EAA. Donations to EVAoSD are made by sending them to EAA either by e-mail [Credit Card or PayPal from the EAA web page with "EVAoSD" in comments] or regular mail [check made out to EAA with "EVAoSD" on the comment line]. EVAoSD asks for a $12.50 donation per year to receive our printed newsletter and the cost its printing and mailing cost. To become a member of EAA and receive the Worldwide "Current EVents" in addition to the EVAoSD Newsletter is $39.00 per year in the United States by Credit Card, PayPal or check. Remember to put "EVAoSD in the comments field. There are discounts for students and senior citizens.
